Luna is a 14.6 day old full blue supermoon, the second in August, 2023.
At 2:00 a.m. EDT, the moon's altitude was 38° and its light is not filtered
by much atmosphere or smoke. The color is balanced to match the
perceived color at the time the picture was taken. The blue color
of the overlay is artistic fancy. The view is rotated for 42° North.
